Tic-Tac-Toe Against an ABB Robot
Play tic-tac-toe in the browser, by click or voice, against a minimax CPU. Moves go over TCP to an ABB IRB 120.
Team project.
What was built
- The web interface and game logic, with minimax over the remaining cells.
- Voice intent classification into the nine board cells.
- A TCP client and a small message protocol between Flask and the robot.
- RAPID tasks for the socket (receive, acknowledge) and for the motion.
A Flask web app runs the game against another player or the CPU. Voice input uses browser speech recognition, and a zero-shot text classifier maps the phrase to one of nine cells. Moves go as short messages such as J1;A1 to a RAPID task on the robot, which parses them and moves home, cell, home.
We played real games against the physical robot. The public repo has the RobotStudio station and the RAPID module, with targets taught on the real robot.
